When it Comes to Blood Cancer, Every Swab Counts

Blood cancer knows no boundaries. It can strike anyone at any time. In fact, about 360 people every day are diagnosed with some form of blood cancer.

It’s a fact known all too well to our own Jeremie Braun, Senior Director of Business Development. When his close friend Adam, a young father of three, was diagnosed with primary myelofibrosis, everything changed. Through #Hope4Adam, Adam’s friends and family rallied worldwide to find a bone marrow match, hoping for a cure.

Although they were able to find a match, Adam lost his battle with the disease. But the viral reach of the campaign went far and wide. Suddenly people were thinking about bone marrow testing and how to get swabbed. And Jeremie brought that passion to PSI, inspiring us to work together and get more people registered for the bone marrow match program.

Bone marrow transplants represent hope for a cure, and PSI is committed to raising awareness and challenging everyone in the CRO industry to get involved, swabbed, and cured. We’re proud to support the efforts of Gift of Life, a global bone marrow registry, and grateful that Jeremie has been so instrumental in telling this story.

We’re not the only ones who’ve seen Jeremie’s passion. Jeremie has been recognized by Gift of Life for his contribution to the organization, and we want to offer him our deepest congratulations. Learn more about Jeremie, Adam, and Gift of Life in the video below.
